Terms and Conditions – PM Cleaning
The customer agrees that any use of the PM Cleaning services, including placing an order for services by telephone, email, via website or by other electronic means constitutes acceptance by the customer of the following Terms and Conditions.
1.1 PM Cleaning reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the customer’s original requirements change or upon inspection of the property by us.
2.1 The customer is responsible for providing access to their property at the scheduled time. If we are unable to gain access to the property, as a result of customer failure to make reasonable arrangements for access, we will request the full cancellation fee (the cost of the job)
2.2 The customer must provide sufficient lighting, electricity and running water at the premises where the cleaning service is conducted. Failure to provide these will result in the job being cancelled and we will request the full cancellation fee (the cost of the job)
2.3 Please be aware that our equipment is extremely heavy. The customer is responsible (at their own cost) for providing or arranging a suitable car parking space (and visitor parking permit, if required) for the Company’s vehicles within close proximity to the property and for paying any congestion charge payable by the Provider in connection with the provision of the Services to you.
2.4 Doors and windows may be required to be open for a period of time during the clean for access and ventilation purposes and PM Cleaning cannot be held responsible for the security of the property or children and animals.
3 Health and Safety
3.1 Children and animals must remain under the strict supervision of the responsible adult, remain in a separate room and be prevented from accessing company equipment, chemicals and the area being cleaned or treated until it is completely clear and dry.
3.2 We recommend avoiding traffic on damp carpet, rugs, or hard surface floors. Please remember that your feet can be slippery when walking from damp carpet onto hard surfaces or downstairs.
3.3 Please keep away from the area being cleaned and where company equipment and chemicals are present to avoid tripping or injury.
3.4 It is the customers responsibility to ensure no dangerous equipment, materials or substances are on the property or are within access areas to the property.
4.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing by PM Cleaning, the payment is required immediately on completion of the work. Cash, BACS and Faster Payments/online bank transfer are accepted.
4.2 Customers should understand that any late payments may be subject to additional charges if PM Cleaning incurs such charges in the event of being required to take legal action to collect late payment for its services. These charges include Debt Collection Agency Fees, Legal Costs, Court Fees and other reasonable costs.
5.1 Please take into consideration that we are a small business and if a customer cancels without giving us 48 hours’ notice prior to the booked appointment, we are unlikely to fill the space with alternative work. For cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, a 50% charge will apply. Please note that this does not apply to evidential covid-19 related circumstances.
5.2 We reserve the right to refuse any cleaning job if the condition of the property is hazardous to the health and wellbeing of our operatives.
5.3 PM Cleaning endeavours to arrive promptly and within a clearly stated and agreed timeframe for all booked work. We have the right to cancel or reschedule a service in cases where an accident or any unexpected circumstances have befallen the assigned member of our team.
5.4 PM Cleaning shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, damage, delay, additional costs or compensation charge (whether direct, indirect or consequential) suffered or incurred by the customer arising from or any way connected with a late arrival of a technician at the customers address.
6.1 All services shall be deemed to have been carried out to the Customers satisfaction unless written notice is received by PM Cleaning with details of the complaint within 24 hours of the work being completed. We will fully investigate any complaint and attempt to resolve it to the satisfaction of the Customer, or alternatively to a reasonable standard.
6.2 Refunds will be issued only after PM Cleaning has been permitted to rectify any problems or perceived deficiency in the service it has provided.
7.1 PM Cleaning shall not be liable under any circumstances for loss, damages, delay, costs or compensation (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which may be incurred by the customer arising from or any way connected with PM Cleaning carrying out services for the customer.
7.2 You will also be responsible for securing or removing any valuables, breakables or sentimental items prior to the start of the Services. Any household items or furniture moved by our technicians is at the client’s risk and PM Cleaning does not accept any liability for any loss or damages. Furniture with draws or cupboards that is required to be moved must be emptied prior to our arrival.
7.3 The customer is responsible for ensuring that any children or animals present are adequately supervised and cared for by the responsible adult. Under no circumstances shall PM Cleaning accept any responsibility for the care of any children or animals at the property.
7.4 Whilst every care is taken no guarantees can be given as to the reaction of certain materials to the treatment. If this is the case, we cannot be held responsible for the damage as a result of treatment. We cannot be held liable for carpets that are damaged where they have been incorrectly fitted or have shrunk or become loose over a period of time.
7.5 PM Cleaning cannot be held liable for pile reversal or for cellulosic browning which is caused by age deteriorating carpets, rugs, fabrics and upholstery.
7.6 We will spot clean or attempt to remove the spots and stains on your carpet / upholstery to the best of our ability. Utilising all our skill, technology and training. Due to the conditions beyond our control, we cannot guarantee the results.
Liability of PM Cleaning is limited to the purchase cost of the work we perform ONLY. No other liabilities will be assumed or implied.
